I received my B.A. Theatre Degree from Exeter University in 1984 and immediately went to work on the street as a clown. I knew I wanted to make people laugh but I wasn’t very good at it, so I decided to train in Bristol (UK) at the UK’s premier circus school, Fooltime. I spent three years learning from the best teachers around and then headed to Barcelona (Spain) where I found a thriving clan of professional clowns. I moved here permanently over 21 years ago and have never looked back. Now married to a Catalan clown, I’ve performed in theaters and festivals throughout Europe with my solo shows and others I have co-created with clown colleagues.
